DOVE COTTAGE DAY HOSPICE – RUTLAND
The Rutland Day Hospice has been open for just over a year now. What a successful first year it has been! Almost £30,000 has been raised through the generosity of Rutlanders. Service organisations, choirs, villages, local businesses and clubs all supported us magnificently, with cash donations, use of facilities and donations in kind. Wonderful outdoor seating, planters, reclining chairs the list is too great. The Rutland Morris Men, always making things go with a swing, the Rotary Club organising car parking. We must not forget individuals, who have supported our fundraising efforts, what about that parachute jump, from Anne Porter!!
We must also THANK our Dove Volunteers who cook delicious lunches, entertain guests and transport them to and from Dove. (we need more volunteers for the Hospice in Ridlington) THANK YOU ALL! We are not resting on our laurels, more money is always needed. Please support our 2018 fundraising events.

Andre Delgado takes on 14 Peaks at the end of June…
On June 30th 2018 I’m taking on the The Welsh 3000‘s 24h Challenge – 14 Peaks, 22 Miles, 14,000ft of ascent (hopefully) in one single day’s journey. Some call it “The King of Challenges” Doing the Welsh 3000s in a single day is one of Britain’s toughest 24 hour challenge walks requiring fitness, stamina and a certain kind of mindset: it makes the “Three Peaks” a mere training exercise for the boys.
I’ve set this as a personal challenge but thought that while training and preparing for it: why not help, even if just a little, a good local cause like Dove Cottage Day Hospice:
