Help local families make special memories this summer — and be in with a chance to win days out, hampers and experiences.

Since 1996, Dove Cottage have been supporting families make the best of the hardest times together.

This summer, we want to offer more families the chance to make special memories together. That's why we've teamed up with some lovely local businesses to offer lots of exciting days out, activities and hampers!

Tickets & how to enter

Tickets are £1 each (£5 per book) and can be purchased from any of our charity shops. Online tickets will be available to purchase very soon.

The closing date is advertised on raffle tickets, point-of-sale material and this website. Payments received after the closing date will be treated as a donation.

Terms & Conditions

Dove Cottage Day Hospice is registered with Melton Borough Council as holding a Small Society Lottery, in accordance with guidance from the Gambling Commission.

Eligibility

All participants must be aged 18 years of age or over and a resident of Great Britain.

Dove Cottage reserves the right to ask for proof of age of any player and claimant of a prize. If a player does not comply with these terms then the purchase will not be processed and/or will be refunded under the Gambling Act 2005.

Dove Cottage Day Hospice employees, trustees, volunteers, and their families, are eligible to enter the prize draw.

Proceeds

All net proceeds from the draw go directly towards funding care services for Dove Cottage Day Hospice guests.

Cost per ticket

Raffle tickets cost £1 each.

Multiple entries

The maximum number of tickets per raffle is limited to 100 per person. For purchases of more than 100 please contact the hospice to discuss the nature of the purchase.

Prizes and winners

The prizes include a selection of hampers and experiences sourced from local companies including: Brinvale, Naturescape, Derek Jones Butchers, Sainsburys, National Space Centre, Starnhill Studio, Daltons, Selbee Honey, Hydro Hounds, The Old Pork Pie Shoppe, Sugar Shamrocks (not a definitive list).

The prizes will be promoted on our website and social media channels.

All tickets that are eligible to go into the draw are placed into one drum and selected at random. The draw will take place on Wednesday 26th August 2026.

Winners are notified on the day or by phone call/email within the next two days and prizes can be collected from Dove Cottage Day Hospice, LE14 4EX. In some circumstances where collection may not be possible please contact us to discuss further options. Winners' vouchers will only be issued to the relevant names and addresses. If we are unable to contact you by telephone/email or if you have not responded, we reserve the right to redraw due to the expiry dates on the vouchers.

After Wednesday 9th September 2026 any unclaimed winnings will be treated as a donation. Winning numbers will be on the hospice website www.dovecottage.org and Facebook page.

Prize winners may be asked to take part in promotional activity. Dove Cottage Day Hospice reserves the right to use the name and residence of the winner, and their photograph, in any publicity, if the winner agrees. We will only publicise prize draw winners where consent has been obtained by email prior to the promotional activity.

Average odds of winning

Christmas Prize Draw 2023: 2,232 tickets were entered in the draw with the option of 11 prizes.

Average odds of winning a prize: 1 in 202. Odds will be similar for this draw.

How to enter

Contact details are requested when a ticket is purchased in order for winning ticket holders to be contacted.

A maximum of 100 tickets per person, per prize draw.

Sold ticket numbers are sent to the hospice and entered into the draw.

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD FOR THE PRIZE DRAW.

The draw date for the prize is clearly advertised on the tickets, on points of sale material and on the hospice website. Should circumstances beyond the control of the Hospice dictate, the draw may take place on another day. In extreme emergencies, such as a pandemic, draws may have to be postponed. Players will be kept up to date on the hospice website.

Raffle administration — change of personal details

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to notify Dove Cottage of any changes to personal data. Where a person is reported to Dove Cottage Day Hospice as deceased, and they have already bought tickets in a forthcoming raffle, the ticket(s) will continue to be entered into the raffle unless we are instructed otherwise. Any winnings will be made payable to the ‘Executor of’.
