dove cottage what is hospice daycareThere are many different definitions of the word ‘hospice’, which have evolved from the historical meaning of being a resting place for the weary traveller.

Today, hospices are a vital service within a local community for people who have a life-limiting illness, such as cancer. Each hospice in the UK provides a unique range of physical, emotional, social and spiritual support, tailored to the individual.

Dove Cottage is a day care hospice, and guests usually come to us for one day each week.

We do our very best to make our hospice a home away from home. It is set in beautiful countryside with a lovely lounge, dining room, and places where our guests can enjoy games, crafts and wellbeing activities.
