What with arts, crafts, demonstrations, musical performances, talks, quizzes and games, life at Dove Cottage can either be busy or contemplative depending on the needs of the guest.
As a full-time carer for my wife, I was left isolated from everybody and everything; not going out or getting a break – that left me with depression. Coming to Dove Cottage has given me a rest from the stress and worry and find other people to talk to, doing the same type of thing, and seeing how they cope with everything.
